Key topics will include: Networking; Teamwork & Communication; Cross-training; Listening & Asking; Goal-setting; Personal & Professional Development; and Self-care. Participants will have the chance to share their experiences in large group discussion as well a building their own personal/professional development utilizing a detailed workbook and tips from the group.
Christine Casey, MBA, CFRE, is the Director of Philanthropy for Transitions LifeCare (formerly Hospice of Wake County). She has been a professional fundraiser for 27 years, working in a variety of nonprofit organizations, both local and national, entering the field right out of college. Her main area of responsibility and expertise is in planning and managing Annual Campaigns - with goals that ranged from $300,000 to $5 million. Christine worked for nonprofit organizations including American University Law School, Washington National Cathedral, American Red Cross, Make-A-Wish Foundation and Transitions LifeCare since January 2016. She is a Certified Life Coach through Coach training Alliance and earned the Certificate in Nonprofit Management from Duke University. She received her MBA from Averett University and BS degree from the University of Mary Washington. She Christine serves on the Board of the AFP Triangle Chapter as the Mentor Program Co-Chair. She lives in Raleigh, NC with her husband Tom.

Credits for a future meeting or refunds will be given if notification of cancellation is received at VAFRE’s office prior to noon on the Thursday before a regular Tuesday meeting. If cancellation is received after the Thursday before a regular Tuesday meeting, credits and refunds will be given at the discretion of the Management Company based on the number of late registrations received. In the event of illness or an emergency, credits or refunds may be granted at the discretion of the Management Company.
